One-Moment Meditation
I often talk about the benefits of meditation on the Thrive blog. Meditation reduces stress, as brain activity is shifted from the stress-prone right frontal cortex to the calmer left frontal cortex. And this reduction in stress provides a myriad of related health benefits, such as a decreased risk of heart attack.
Ok, so we all understand the benefits of meditation. But how many of us actually practice it? Every time I read about meditation and all of it’s miraculous benefits I think, “Gosh I wish I meditated.. I just don’t really have the time”. Well, thanks to this video shared by Action for Happiness, I can’t use that excuse anymore!
You only need a moment to meditate, and it will be a moment very well spent!
